Silicone Rubber - VMQ
VMQ silicone is well known for its high temperature capabilities in dry heat and water up to +100° C, but is not suited for steam applications.
VMQ is resistant to ozone, aging and weather and has a moderate resistance to mineral oil products. Due to lower mechanical strength and wear capability it is mainly recommended for static sealing.
Many compounds are available for the food and pharmaceutical industries.
VMQ is the rubber with largest temperature range from -60° C to +200° C (depending on compounds).
