  • Metal Detectable

    M Seals holds an extensive range of semi-finished metal detectable rubber, metal detectable polyurethane, metal detectable plastics and metal detectable PTFE in stock to enable rapid turnaround of critical food-safe sealing products. These are used by OEM machinery manufacturers, food and beverage production facilities and pharmaceutical plants around the world.

    Contamination Control

    Metal detectable seals significantly reduce the risk of product contamination and a disrupted supply chain by detecting and containing any contamination as soon as possible.

    Equipment components, particularly elastomer seals, can degrade over time, increasing the likelihood of rubber fragments contaminating the product. Seals made from a metal detectable material are engineered to be identified by most standard metal detection systems already used on production lines. If a fragment is detected, operations can be halted immediately, and any contaminated products removed. 

    All of the metal detectable materials we offer are blue in colour for simple visual identification. Some of the materials have been independently tested by a leading metal detection machinery manufacturer, with sample seal fragments as small as 2mm being identified on a process line running at a speed of 25 metres per minute.

    FDA Compliant Materials

    The use of the correct metal detectable material can give customers compliance to FDA and EU food standards and allows instant recognition of batch contamination, preventing costly product recalls and possible consequential damage to company reputation.
