FB05 Pressure: Max: --
Temperature Min: -200°C Max: 200°C
Speed Max: 5 m/sM Seals piston guide ring / wear ring profile FB05 has the addition of a locating ring on the inside diameter to reduce axial movement in reciprocating applications.
Piston guide ring profile FB05 is a tight tolerance ring which is commonly used in pneumatic applications where precise piston movement is critical. This wear ring can be manufactured from several of our high-performance thermoplastic materials to provide precise clearance control and low friction operation.
The tight tolerance control on the FB05 profile ensures excellent bearing contact which helps minimise and control misalignment while the rod is under static or dynamic load. This profile is split for ease of installation and normally locates on the piston in the centre of two single acting (uni-directional) piston seals working in a back-to-back configuration.
Please contact our technical department for further information on the correct material choice for your application.

FB06 Pressure: Max: --
Temperature Min: -200°C Max: 200°C
Speed Max: 5 m/sM Seals rod guide ring / wear ring profile FB06 has the addition of a locating ring on the outside diameter to reduce axial movement in reciprocating applications. It is a tight tolerance ring which is commonly used in pneumatic applications where precise calculated movement is critical.
This wear ring can be manufactured from several of our high-performance thermoplastic materials to provide precise clearance control and low friction operation.
The tight tolerance control on the FB06 profile ensures excellent bearing contact which helps minimise and control misalignment while the rod is under static or dynamic load.
This profile is split for ease of installation and locates into the gland and is commonly used in tandem sealing configurations where two single acting (uni-directional) seals are working in-line to provide a level of sealing redundancy.

KB01A Pressure Max: 400 bar
Temperature Min: -55 °C Max: 210 °C
Speed Max: 0.7 m/sKB01A profile is an asymmetric single acting/uni-directional hydraulic piston working u-cup seal.
The seal has a shortened dynamic sealing lip and increased groove depth and groove width which offers increased seal deflection while providing improved friction and compression set characteristics in comparison to standard symmetrical u-rings.
It has an interference fit along the inside diameter to ensure a stable fit in the housing and to provide a tight static seal across the inside diameter of the seal groove.
This profile is available in several of our high-performance seal materials to provide both design engineers or repairers with exceptional extrusion resistance, low compression set and outstanding wear properties.

KB05 Pressure Max: 25 bar
Temperature Min: -55 °C Max: 210 °C
Speed Max: 2 m/sThe KB05 Profile is used in pneumatic sealing systems where low friction and high sealing performance are critical. The low footprint, radiused sealing lip gathers fluid film and the undercut on the outside diameter locks in initial lubrication. These features are unique in pneumatic rod seal design and help to considerably lower frictional values.
The seal is manufactured with an interference fit along the inside diameter which provides it with excellent stability in the groove while it reciprocates against the cylinder bore.
The KB05 profile is available in a variety of our high-performance materials, but our lubricated polyurethane s are most common due to the extra lubrication and abrasion resistance provided.

KB05A Pressure Max: 25 bar
Temperature Min: -55 °C Max: 210 °C
Speed Max: 1 m/sThe KB05A Profile is for use in pneumatic sealing systems where sealing performance is chosen over frictional output.
The radiused sealing lip gathers fluid film to help lower frictional values while the piston is reciprocating at high speed. The seal is manufactured with an interference fit across the inside diameter which provides the KB05A with stability in the groove helping to prevent any possible seal roll while under pressure.
The KB05A profile is commonly used in our standard Nitrile rubber material, but others are available if the application requires.

KB16A Pressure Max: 160 bar
Temperature Min: -55 °C Max: 210 °C
Speed Max: 2 m/sCommonly referred to as a Cup seal or Dish ring our KB16A design is a single acting/uni-directional seal with a positive, flared lip design to provide good dynamic sealing force.
The Cup seal is traditionally seals from one direction only, it is generally returned to position by a spring situated on the none-pressure side.
The KB16A is useful in friction critical applications due to its flexible low contact sealing lip and radiused back heel which helps preserve a fluid film on the cylinder bore.

KB27 Pressure Max: 400 bar
Temperature Min: -55 °C Max: 210 °C
Speed Max: 0.7 m/sThe KB27 design is a double acting/bi-directional seal that combines the attributes of our standard KB16 profile but in both directions.
The KB27 should be simply attached by retaining plates and locking nut.

RB09 Pressure Max: 300 bar
Temperature Min: -50 °C Max: 210 °C
Speed Max: 2 m/sPTFE composite rotating rod seal, o ring activated. Compact design suitable for small installation spaces where a low friction seal is required. Wide chemical and thermal resistance depending on o ring material selection. Wide range of PTFE compounds.

M Seals can manufacture O-Rings ‘flash-free’ on the outside and inside diameter contact points helping to provide leak-free performance in radial sealing applications.
We manufacture Rubber O-Rings, Polyurethane O-Rings, PTFE O-Rings and O-Rings for rapid gas decompression resistance in one of our Norsok compliant RGD / ED resistant materials.

Speed Max: - m/sOur RB14 is a simple square section or rectangular profile used for economical sealing of SAE flanges for both internal and external pressure (confirmation of the pressure direction is required). It provides good low-pressure sealing efficiency up to 100 Bar which can be increased through the correct choice of back-up ring.
While being economical it isn’t the most robust seal for flange sealing, talk to our technical department about the best choice of seal for your application.
