Bonded Seals
Bonded seals are designed to replace copper washers in applications where the sealing requirements exceed their capabilities due to higher pressures.
Characteristics of bonded sealsThe design of bonded seals incorporates a trapezoidal rubber seal attached to the inside of a metallic washer, enabling them to perform exceptionally in applications requiring critical pressure containment. This provides a consistent and reliable sealing performance across a spectrum of high and low-pressure scenarios.
The robust engineering of bonded seals also enables them to perform reliably across a wide temperature spectrum, ensuring seal integrity regardless of thermal extremes.
They are designed to secure connections reliably, without necessitating excessive bolt torque, thereby mitigating the hazard of over-tightening. The metal rings encased in these seals function as a defensive barrier, preventing the rubber from being over compressed, thus maintaining both the seal’s contour and its operational effectiveness.
