Resizer tool
Our Resizer tool (IT03) a simple part for recalibrating or resizing the installed seal once it has been placed into its groove. This can be necessary as the PTFE element is normally expanded and will not fully recover without some sort of tension being applied.
How to use the resizer tool
The resizing tool should simply be slid over the seal while seated in its groove and allowed to remain in place for at least one minute. Recovery of the seals can also be helped by pre-heating the PTFE sealing element/s in advance for 5 minutes in boiling water or hot oil, as this helps to soften the material.
