Food and Beverage
High-performance sealing solutions, designed for safety, hygiene and reliability in the food and beverage industry.
In food and beverage processing, sealing solutions play a critical role in product safety, equipment reliability and regulatory compliance. We provide high-performance seals designed to meet the strict hygiene, temperature and chemical demands of modern food production.
Quality and compliance
Food processing environments face some of the most stringent requirements imposed by Food Contact Regulations and International Standards. We help you to meet these requirements, by providing a wide variety of approved seals, with guaranteed compliance to the most stringent standards.
Our seals are successfully used in a range of applications within the food sector, including bottling plants, breweries, food processing and other production machinery.
The right seal for the job
We have a range of high-performance sealing solutions designed specifically for food and beverage applications, including O-Rings, Rotary Shaft Seals, Gaskets, Hydraulic Seals, Sanitary Seals, Custom-Moulded Rubber Components and PTFE Seals.
Where traditional sealing materials do not meet the increasing demand for compliance with food standards, we have a wide range of high-performance, high-conformance food grade seals.
Sealing products are available in a range of industry compliant materials, including EPDM, Silicone (VMQ), FKM (Viton®), NBR, PTFE and Metal Detectable, compliant with FDA, EC 1935/2004, EU 10/2011, WRAS, 3A SANITARY, USP CLASS VI and EHEDG Guidelines (more details below).
Depending on your application conditions, i.e., friction, chemical resistance, temperature, we can recommend the best product and material for the environment.

Description

Food Processing Machinery
M Seals engaged with the engineering manager at a high-profile food manufacturer, who was in search of a new seal supplier to replace their current OEM due to cost, delivery time concerns, suitability for Halal and inadequate certification of the seals.

Seals for a Cocoa Bean Milling Machine
We were asked to assist in the re-sealing of the millwheel’s centre-post. Previous polyurethane seals were inadequate for the job, not suited to the high temperatures, too hard, not flexible enough and the wrong size. Consequently, the seals were not lasting very long and causing damage to the metal sleeve.
